(2 pound) bag powdered sugar
In a large bowl or stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat together all ingredients on low until incorporated.
Raise speed to medium-high, beating until light and fluffy. Add milk by the tablespoons, if a softer texture is desired.
- We recommend tinting frosting with gel food coloring, rather than liquid food coloring, since by using liquid you’ll be adding more liquid, which will change the consistency of the buttercream frosting.
